Make a Wrap-around Apron Dress: Make it short, long; Tie front or back. Make it in woven linen or cotton. Beginning sewists welcome! In this class you will learn how to draft and drape a pattern – specifically the shop-designed wrap-around apron dress. This pattern is a take-off of aprons found in popular Japanese sewing books. You will also learn to make and attach bias tape and design your own pocket style. Depending on the length apron you want and the width of fabric, you will need up to 3 yards of 45" wide fabric, or 2 yards of 54"-60" wide fabric. You may purchase your fabrics in our shop at a 15% class discount. Bring your own machine or use one of ours. per person.  STANDARD POLICIES: Class attendees receive a 15% discount on all day-of-class purchases! As with all our classes, you may register online through Eventbrite, via phone, or in person in our shop.  504-302-9434. If for some reason a class does not “make”, you will be notified and will receive a full refund. For project-based workshops and classes, you will begin your project in class; however, depending upon your skill level and speed, you may or may not be able to complete your projects in the class time frame. You are always invited back to complete your project by calling the shop and scheduling a time.
