Introduction to Photography in Fish Creek Provincial Park This introductory level photography class is for people who need help or ideas with photographic composition and camera operation.  Any camera will do, DSLR, Film, mirrorless, point and shoot or camera phone. The class will tour the park in an open-air minibus, and we'll make a few stops along the way so that you can take some pictures, try out technique, and ask questions.  Bring your camera, camera manual, and enthusiasm.  Tripod optional.  Dress for the weather, bring sunscreen, insect repellent etc.  Seating is limited to 8 people.  per person. Meeting place: next to the red barn in the Bow Valley Ranch parking lot of Fish Creek Provincial Park (take Bow Bottom Trail south as far as you can until you enter the park, then take your first right into the parking lot). Instructor Bob Bakker is a film and photography enthusiast who has completed the photography certificate program at SAIT. He moved to Calgary in 1997, and one of the first places his family frequented upon their arrival was Fish Creek Park.  Now his kids have grown up and gone, but you can find Bob and his wife – avid recumbent trike enthusiasts – pedalling through Fish Creek Park most weekends.   Bob’s passion for photography was handed down to him by his dad who owned a photography and photo finishing business in Winnipeg.  When he is not taking photos, he also enjoys drifting down the Bow and doing a bit of fishing. *Please note that if you experience mobility issues and are in need of physical support getting on and off the minibus, please call us before you register to discuss how we can make this a successful outing for you.* **Cancellation info:  This tour will not run in poor weather.  Please check our website at  http://friendsoffishcreek.org/programs/minibus/   if you have questions about whether or not the tour will go ahead.  In the case of rain or other inclement weather, tour cancellations will be noted on our website within 24 hours of the tour time.  In the case of a sudden and unexpected change in weather, the tour could be cancelled on very short notice.  All registrants will be called directly to be notified of a tour cancellation.  If the tour is cancelled due to poor weather or other factors beyond our control, you will receive a full refund.**
